Mass production of nanofibers from needleless electrospinning by a novel annular spinneret 2021-03-24

Developed an annular spinneret for non-woven mass production of nanofibers. The increase of applied voltage, collection distance and solution flow rate has a certain significant effect on the diameter of nanofibers. The highest productivity of nanofibers reaches 4.5 g/h. This method also greatly reduces the influence of solvent evaporation during the electrospinning process.

Preparation of a polyacrylonitrile/polyurethane nanofibrous membrane with antibacterial function and measurement of its air filtration performance 2021-03-24

The (PAN/PU) composite nanofiber membrane with antibacterial agent AgTiO2 was prepared by electrospinning. The antibacterial activity of the PAN/PU nanofiber membrane pair was studied. Its antibacterial rate can be> 99.99%. The filtration efficiency of 0.3 micron particles is 99.88%.

Patterned nanofiber air filters with high optical transparency, robust mechanical strength, and effective PM(2.5)capture capability 2021-03-25

The transparent air filter is manufactured by electrospinning, the patterned wire net is selected as the negative receiver substrate, and the fiber is directly fixed on the support net. The transparent pattern air filter has the highest transmission efficiency under simulated haze pollution, which is 99.99%, and the PM filter efficiency is the highest, close to 69%.

A Super-breathable 2021-03-25

Through the accumulation of charged nanofibers and current collectors during electrospinning, a unique "woven-like" (w-PNF) super-breathable zein fabric. The obtained w-PNF exhibits significant tensile strength and modulus, which are 3 times and 9 times higher than that of random protein nanofiber materials, respectively.

High performance anti-smog window screens via electrospun nanofibers 2021-03-25

We use electrospinning to bond polyethylene terephthalate (PET) nanofibers to the PET grid at a relatively close spinning distance. After 5 hours of filtration test, the PM2.5 filtration efficiency of the anti-fog window screen is as high as 87%, and the PET nanofiber window screen still maintains high light transmittance and super-hydrophobicity.
